This series follows the tradition of livestock showing and is part of Wideyed's Foreign Bodies project for Nomadic Village 2012.
Showing is an opportunity for farmers, small holders and rare breed enthusiasts to publicise their rams, compare their breeding stock, and take home the ‘Champion’ title. Livestock showing is a time consuming, serious affair, as every ribbon won impacts on the price at the sales.
Data mapping the distance travelled by livestock and breeders to shows and the ingredients needed to turn out a winner were collected and exhibited alongside a series of portraits documenting the preparations.
